Opinions on the Evo X MR wheels on the '15s? I believe they are rated at 18.5 lbs, but some have weighed them in at about 20 I think. I have a set of them already I was going to put on the car I'm selling, but never did so I was thinking about putting them on the WRX.

    Also they are +38 offset.

    Those would look purty.

Even at 20lbs, they'd still be lighter than the stock wheels. Not sure why Subaru wheel weights have increased so much over the years.

38 offset might be a bit low, though.

Do we know the stock offset yet on the 2015? I know +38 is about the lowest you can go on the 2011-2014s without looking bad and poking too much. What's the width on them though? And 5x114.3?

Looks wise, I think they will look excellent.

The bolt pattern you listed I do remember reading about as it was a change from the last gen, and the reason why these wheels can fit. If anyone knows the offset for the stock equipment that would be cool. I couldn't find it in the detailed overview I have bookmarked. I did watch a video linked in this thread where someone showed a 35 and 33 though. 35 was pretty flush for the most part, maybe a tad out. I also wonder about rubbing at that point, not sure if I should or not and I'd rather not get spacers. (Although I have seen some people listing they want 9" wide wheels so if that is workable then these 8.5"s might be!)

But yeah, they are 18x8.5 +38

I was thinking about powder coating them in black, but undecided on that. I think they might look pretty good without the black as well though!

And where do you remember this from? As I recall, the 2015 wheel specs have yet to be released

If you watch it, they'll show the specs embedded on the stock wheels.

So what's the consensus regarding an oil change at 1000 miles?

I know that the 1st oil service is not scheduled at that interval but, is this a preventative measure for a brand new car and is this the thing to do for our new WRX's?

I'm going to do mine at 6000 miles as scheduled and if my engine tanks,Subaru will give me a new one.

I would like to know also, I mentioned it to the dealership asking if I should change it at 1000 and they looked at me like I was crazy.
