Excellent. So you'll have no qualms if I trade your FA20 for my EJ20.

So is it safe to say that we still don't know if they are going to extend the '13 body or release a new body style for '14?

Orders open in a couple weeks (or they usually open at the end of July) so it is highly unlikely the 14 MY will see any changes.

We can only hope 2015 does.

i wish I could find the article I read that mentioned the 4th gen being a 2015 model. plus 2014 is already almost here so it was kind of a given we wouldn't see anything different just yet...unless by some miracle its a last second thing.
personal guess we'll see the new body style within 6-8 months

Devil's advocate here, but a CVT actually offers more tuning potential than a row-your-own. Assuming you have the same level of control over the tranmission computer than we do over the ECU, you can optimize shift-out points for a given torque curve, controlling how long a ratio is held, how quickly it shifts out, etc. You could essentially match your transmission to your Stage II tune, and that would be crazy awesome.

Apparently "stage II" tunes for the 5eat transmission are very popular in Australia, offering responsive shifting feel rivaling DCT technology (according to forum reviews anyway).

I love a good manual transmission, but automatic and CVT technology has progressed by leaps and bounds in the last 10 years, and I wouldn't be so quick to discredit them nowadays.
