Yeah this is his first rwd.. its going to be a steep learning curve even if the car does handle like its on rails. When he dropped by it had 23 mi on it... wouldn't let me drive (not that I thought he would). I just hope he doesn't get in over his head and make a mess of car or himself..

Yeah... I've only had two cars total in my 10 years of driving... The 96accord and my current 07 WRX.... :-/ FWD and AWD. Never owned a RWD before.Yeah this is his first rwd.. its going to be a steep learning curve even if the car does handle like its on rails. Hey Bud! How's it go?
It's not so bad - I have RWD, zero traction control, and tires with an 800 tread wear rating haha. You just need to wait for snow/rain, go to a parking lot, and start taking corners. Get really good at catching your slides and STOPPING them as fast as possible before you try to practice drifting, because otherwise you'll sustain your slide tangential to the corner all the way to the guard rail! A friend of mine found that out. Thankfully not in an FR-S.
All that said, tell him to enjoy the car. That lucky bastard has what I can't afford right this second. I'm mega jealous.
