In other news, I remember seeing that Japanese ad a couple months ago, why can't Subaru put out quality advertising like that in the states?
I remember as well. It almost wanted to make you get a little choked up. That was definitely an awesome commercial.

It was back in 2010...maybe even 2009 when the 2010 Leggies were coming out...you were stuck in RSX land back then

    Yes it does, good post!

It also demonstrates the dichotomy of car fans. There are those who would watch that video and say "Well I would definitely get the BRZ after hearing all that praise for it's driving experience." Then there are those who would watch that video and say "Why would I waste my money on the Subaru if I could buy a V6 mustang that's faster?"

Calvin, I was thinking about that last night after I watched the video. Its true, it is faster, but I think that's about where the benefits ended. The mustang was harder to drive, probably uses more gas, quite a bit heavier, lots of body motion, live rear axle...etc. If I had to choose between a great drivers car, that looks nice, uses less fuel, easier to handle, etc...or one that's a lil bit quicker around a race track? Im taking the BRZ.

If it was all about how fast getting around the track, we'd all be in ariel atoms lol

As much as the BRZ appeals to me, I'd still pony up the extra $5k for an STI (hatch). It's just a more practical car for a growing family.

That said, I have daydreams of buying a totaled BRZ in several years and fixing it up into a track toy. Strip out the interior, hammer out the exterior into a somewhat presentable state, then hoon the hell out of it.

I would choose the BRZ too, personally, if I didn't need a car with some practicality. But I'm sure there are people out there whose priority is just numbers, no matter how you arrive at them. And those are the same who are complaining that the BRZ needs moar horsez!

And who you callin Calvin You know my real name! haha

That's true about numbers...its all about what it says on paper.

Yea, I know...sometimes I refer to people by their user name and sometimes their real name...

The Scion version in red looks ok from front but the rear, with central backup lamp above a diffuser, looks a mess. The side lines are quite badly Bangled too. Disappointed.
