Honestly, if I saw that car on the side of the road, I'd probably dial 911 and report that they've been in some kind of accident.

This. If they see a demand for it, and potential to make a profit, then by all means, put a snail in there. I'd like to see the enthusiast side of Subaru continue to thrive, and I see no issue with extending performance to other lines. They have already used turbochargers in their Legacy and Forester lines, to good effect. Why it would suddenly be brand cannibalism to do the same in the BRZ is not immediately obvious to me.

Lol I wasn't saying I liked it. At first I didn't notice how cambered the rear tires were. Now that I see it clearly I hate it!

    That's better newb!

Honestly, the wheels are rather nice. I've always liked that style with a little dish. But if they put proper tires on it with a nice enough drop to only eliminate some wheel gap, it would be a nice "stance."

It's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car.

Yeah, they RUINED the car with those god-awful wheels and it's almost on the ground to boot. That has to be one of the ugliest fracking setups I've EVER seen, right along with those ricey/trashy wheel spinners. Why not throw some stickers all over the car while they're at it? Maybe some ground glow? A gigantic spoiler on the back?

    Maybe like this?

The fact that the author of the article used "How dope is this?" proves how ignorant "stance" is when referring to cars.

It took me every ounce of dignity to not post up on that site how stupid that BRZ looks like that...some guy said in the comments that it could still handle well looking like that as long as the rear camber was cleaned up.

I despise the "hellaflush" movement and the VW-tards from whence it came. Just about every Jetta in my area is "tucked," "poked," "flush," you name it. The only word I'd use to describe these cars is "crap"

I maintain that there's not much point comparing the BRZ to the WRX/STI. They are very different types of cars.
yes, yes, and yes i agree they are very different and that was intentional. different engine, different driveline, different target market. the closer these two get the more they will pull from the same demographic, and though i personally dont understand it some people prefer naturally aspirated engines.

you make a valid point all i could say to that is if i was purchasing a car in 2012/2013 i dont know which i would choose between the wrx or a turbocharged brz where as the above mentioned cars (though nice) are not on my radar.

A naturally aspirated motor with equivalent power will demolish a turbo'd car. There is no lag, less to go wrong, more instant power. It is a much much smoother power as well.
