Just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet? I'll be looking to buy my next car in the next couple months but would be willing to wait if there was a power increase for the next model sti.

I dont know much about the new sti 10 but i hope they redesign it... The new models have more hp and torque but they look like ass

i talked to a salesman from a stealership and he said that the sti will NOT change in the next 5 years.

of course, 90% of the time they're talking out of their ass, so i'm not sure if there is truth to this or not

I saw on IWSTI that there supposed to have 350 crank hp and 350 torque, and they will probably re-design it since that usually happens every 2 years

the 09STI is the same as the 08STI except they dumped aspen white for satin white !
so fingers crossed they up the power, but with the present economic climate the 08STI didnt sell so I doubt a 09STI will sell or that a '10STI would be made only because most people arent willing to shell out 36k+ !!

I've seen this more then a few times when looking at concept cars.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI Concept

It's so mean looking, there are parts I don't like. It looks a little funny in the front end, but all and all I think it's sharp. A 2 door at that. But I dunno if we'll ever see it.

I am looking to purchase an STi in a few months as well however, if the 2010 model was an uprated horsepower model and by more than 5-10 I would be willing to wait myself.

That concept's been around for ages; if I recall correctly, the person that penned it isn't employed by Subaru. Pretty sure that it was around before the '08 body style was announced.

correct its actually just a re-stylised Prodrive P2 concept car !

Aww well that's no fun.. Cuz it looks mean lol.

I dunno about the performance, I mean what more can they really do to a production car to make it kick more HP/Torque without having to raise the Dealer Lot Price range up a bunch. The 04 STi already runs 13.5psi stock. They're not gonna have it at 20, with a blow off valve and more engine mods without making it a 40-50 grand car. (Which, I dunno about y'all but that would blow.

)

I have it from my dealer that the Sti sedan will be back for 2010 and it will be getting a bump in HP.
