hmm from the link provided I don't see anything stated about the price other than a comment that it was estimated at $35k

Asian import models FTW!

Big ups to my favorite import model (and group mate in our college classes): http://importfx.net/v1/fgm/album20/Tilly172

Very good move on the part of Hyundai. I wonder if their V8 motor would fit in the engine bay and whether it'd be light enough to still keep the chassis balanced. I bet they'd be tempted to fool around with it if the two initial motor options prove successful and they think they've got the room both under the bonnet and in the market.

EDIT: To be fair, they do need to paint the whole car one colour and get that woman out of the way, but that's just nitpicking.

I like it. I'd buy one.

Is it just me or is this thread all kinds of mixed up? What is the point of merging threads?

It's you. There is no point in 5 threads discussing the same topic.

I was thinking the same thing. If she was scantilly clad or in the buff, then she could stand, or lay wherever she wanted to though.

Have to admit I like the car even more after seeing it from the front, as with the model in the link.

Any word on the displacement of the turbo'd 4?

I would not be the least bit surprised if it was a turbo'd version of the new all-aluminum 2.0L engine in the new Lancer. If I am not mistaken, there were a lot of rumors flying around about a VR-4 badged version of the new Lancer that was supposed to fill the gap between the grocery getters and the EVO, that was supposed to be launched around the beginning of the year. With the EVOs hitting dealers in January, its pretty obvious that never came to fruition. Hyundai and Mitsubishi have had some joint projects of late, so I'd be surprised if this wasn't the new 4B11 in this concept.

that is an excellent point actually, with one slight caveat: Hundai and Mitsu only designed the block together, meaning the bore spacing, choice of materials, etc, are the same. but the tuning is still unique to each manufacturer, so they say.

i never thought of that though.
