So I was behind everyone else at first. I didn't know they were leaving early. So I caught up with everyone after they turned onto the Golden Gate State Park road off of 93. By the time I got there, there were already flashing lights. Apprently, there was a complaint of street racers, but the cop told us to go on and have a good, not-speeding time.
First part was super fun and super twisty roads. It rocked. Then we go to the T, turn left for some place, turn right to Nederland. So we all stopped at the T. Then more police cars. They had a report of speeding, so they came to say hello and have a nice slow time. Then apprently somebody that was trying to catch up with us flew by (Lurker?) and the cops went after them and maybe they got a ticket...I dunno what happened. But anyway, we saw the two other cops cars go the direction we were going to go, so the drive to Nederland was nice and slow. I saw at least one car try to clock out group going that way, there may have been more. Then we got back to Boulder. And I went home. The end.

Here's a nice article on the Caterham Super 7 from a recent Westword. "Last year, at Second Creek Raceway, near Denver International Airport, a Caterham Superlight R equipped with a four-cylinder, 200-horsepower Ford Zetec engine (at 1,150 pounds, it's one of the fastest Caterham configurations) reportedly turned laps six seconds faster than a Ferrari 355."

I also burned up a half tank of 96 octane, and added some 91 up there, taking me down a notch or three to 93 or so, haha!

I can't believe i didn't hear about this, on the hill and a block from my house. When is the next one so i can say hello and maybe I'll have a car for it. I don't think the jetta with a K&N cone will cut it. Are these meets once a month? more often? less often?

Theres a few more ferraris in town, a red 550 maranello that parks down on walnut between 9th and 11th on friday nights. And i think a red 748 convertible. Theres a few prosche turbos as well. Be nice if they'd all show up on the hill instead of just driving right by my valet stand to park in a meter spot 10 feet away. I die a little inside each time they go by without pulling in...
