3/24/13 Canyon Cruise , Golden, CO

I'm posting up this thread to spark some interest for those who haven't been keeping tabs on the Colorado specific thread.

We are planning a medium sized get-together and cruise for Sunday the 24th. We will be meeting in Golden at noon and cruising shortly after that. The route will take us on a scenic canyon drive, and we will end up in Idaho Springs where we will get pizza and beer at the original Beau Joe's. We can go our seperate ways after that, Idaho Springs is about 20 minutes from the I70/C470 intersection.

As of now THIS is the route that JDMluvr has found for us. I'm all ears for feedback if this is too long of a cruise for everyone. According to google, this is an hour long drive going the speed limit.

If you are interested in joining us please post up so we an start to get a feel for how many clubwrx folk we can get together.

Myself and the lady will be there. Clear bra install just finished last weekend and opticoat getting put on on friday so I'll be good to go

SIDEBAR: Where are you getting your opti-coat done?

I may be there Sunday, it's my GF's birthday and depending on festivities may be busy at the time of the cruise.

So, from what it looks like the weather as of right now is showing a high of 19 in Golden with snow. What's everybody's take on still cruising if it snows like crazy in the canyon? Idaho springs is also showing snow. I have good tires, so I'm still good to go. I also have a tow strap, in case someone gets stuck. Haha. I've used it a few times around the city.

I hope everyone still has their winter tires on, looking at 5-8" on saturday and 1-2" tonight. I'm still in and it should be fun. I'd bring a tow strap in case anyone gets stuck but don't have one, I may pick one up tomorrow.
