I found the campground we'll be staying at. There's a max of 8 people per site... but a max of 2 cars per site...
So.. My thought is 3 campsites? 6 cars? or do we want to do 4 campsites for 8 cars?

Garrett and I are going to set up a ClubWRX Camping trip to Turquoise Lake in Leadville Colorado. I'll get the logistics up after I get some more information. Here are the details so far:
The Route:
Turquoise Lake Route
We are going to take the long way there because it takes Hwy 24. If you haven't driven 24... it's incredible. Absolutely Stunning. The views are great, the roads are amazing, and the curves are incredible.
It's a 2.5hr drive from our normal meeting point... so not horrible.
We'll be leaving around lunch time the 7th, and get back around lunch time the 8th.
I'll figure out the camping reservatons, but I can't imagine a sunday night will be difficult to reserve a couple camping spots.
Bring your own Beer, Tents, Bags, Chairs, Coolers, Food, Smores stuff, etc.
This isn't like a normal show and go meet... I want 100% for sure reservations so I can set up the camping arrangements. Depending on the camp ground rules... we may have to limit the number of people or number of cars.
Depending on the cost of the camping sites I may require some cash reimbursement.
Feel free to PM me for questions. Also, as with all of our other meets... No jack hole driving, no drinking and driving, no getting out of hand intoxicated, no ruining the fun for anyone else.
The List:

Btw... sooner I get an idea as to how many people are coming, the more likely it will be for all of us to have a site next to each other.
Plus... Dogs are allowed... Tyler, I guess that means you're in?
I'm in plus a the gf or a friend, so including me 2 people and my dog. Lame I'm not allowed to get out of hand intoxicated though...

Yes... you need engine management for engine modifications

Kevin Count me in and I will find out if Tyler wants to come. That takes care of one site as he will just ride with me. Obviously the more people willing to ride along the more we can have as that is 4 people per car. I should have 2 open seats but will update as I find out
I will have 2 open seats as well, or maybe Kevin: we can meet up and roll up there?

Josh... You're more than welcome to ride with me buddy. It might be more fun anyways... Rather than driving by myself for 2.5hrs
So everyone is aware the camp sites do cost $16 a piece. Not sure exactly how we are going to split that yet but there may be a small cost depending on how many sites we get. I have already committed to paying for one site so that is handled. Also depending on who is in what site you may want to consider bringing fire wood if there isnt a burn ban at the time. As of now we have 5 definite people (Kevin, myself and my friend Tyler and Josh +1) who will be riding in 2? seperate cars taking up one camp site. As stated in the first post we can have up to 8 people per site but only 2 cars so we can have multiple people per car. If anyone wants to definitely commit now as we can only have a fairly small number of people feel free to post or pm Kevin or I. You can also text me (9706890488) for the next 2 weeks but after the 18th I will be in Belize without my phone for a month so you will have to contact Kevin.
Sounds good to me, I will check for sure on my +1 this week and let you know. I also have some firewood
Edit: It is me +1
Just out of curiosity, how come a actual campsite was chosen and not just some random road in a random part of the forest lol

i think a campsite makes more sense as we will know we have a spot to camp out, dont have to worry about being on someone elses land on accident etc. But that would have to be answered by Kevin as this is mainly his idea.
It's more reasonable to have 8 cars at a camp ground instead of on the side of a road. Plus the likelihood of getting in trouble is much less if we're doing it legally. Also, it's nice for those who want to bring their girlfriends to have restrooms available. And we'll be right next to the lake! I'm bringing my fishing pole for sure.
