I had the cheapo strut tower braces on my STi that you get off eBay for $60 or so (for both). I'd never been a big believer in them, and many people said they wouldn't make a difference, but the car went from squirrely to planted. The biggest place I noticed it was on rumble strips up here in the mountains. It always felt loose on those until I put on the strut tower bars and that feeling went away entirely.

You better watch out who you buy parts from. A lot of scammers out there.

I wish you'd told me about buying the DCCD I was selling that too...... Held onto it in case somebody wanted it with the drivetrain.

Before you buy other things, the F&R brakes have almost new Hawk HPS pads in them you can take. The rotors have gotten a bit rusted from sitting so long but some hard driving/braking will clean them right up. Or as long as you're doing the swap, throw on some new ones and with the new pads, you won't have to worry about the brakes for 30k miles.

So I know I don't drive a Subaru any more, but is it ok if I come along for a drive some time in one of my other cars?

as long as that other car has a turbo horizontal engine

As far as the DCCD... I got the DCCDPro. Supposedly for a swapped WRX this is the best way to go... at least from nasioc's point of view.

Sell the stock DCCD on ebay!

Hey guys, who's the shop in Denver that's building rally cars? I was told mostly VWs but have a couple soobs too.
I was told that the 2010s only needed one thing braced and that everything else that was weak in past cars had been upgraded now. I don't remember what it was now...

    Thanks,
I don't have to race to take advantage of upgrading weaknesses. You haven't seen me drive on twisties....

I want to build a rally car off an older platform, maybe a GTI or something of the likes. I like my WRX too much to jack it up like that.

I was told about it from a LEO friend. Arvada is using it too. It lasers the two vehicles and calculates the following distance. If your not using the 2 second rule you are too close and it will tell the LEO that....
In Arvada, they use it at the bottom of the hill where the railroad tracks go over Wadsworth, just north of Ralston Rd. The traffic unit sits in the city services entrance driveway....

If you drive that stretch, you may want to keep an eye out for red light cameras that are going to be installed at the intersection in front of Costco/HomeDepot.

Oh my it makes sense now why I saw so many cops on I-25 going home from class from Denver. I-25 and 76 there were wt least 5-7 cops with about 4 people pulled over. This happened around 3-4pm yesterday. I guess they are taking this serious.
