Maybe the cops just don't like the sound of 4 bangers - I know lots of loud V8 guys who have never been harassed for exhaust sound.

I can tell you one thing though... completely off topic... if any of you guys live near or in downtown, you better have a front license plate. Walked outside to my car the other morning and I had a nice parking ticket sitting on my windshield for $75!!! $75 for no front license plate! Thought that was a little excessive... I mean $25 would have sufficed and I would have got the message.

    Key word is Honda...

Unfortunately Hondas are viewed very poorly by the general public (and myself). I also feel like the tone they put out is a lot more penetrating and annoying than anything else.

Agreed! Most police greatly respect muscle cars or anything with a nice sounding V8 and since the Subies have a boxer that can mimmic that sound, they have no problems. Additionally the crowd that buys and modify Hondas are generally putting everything they can to make a ear piercing high pitched sound that's very annoying. Subie owners are generally not out to street race or do illegal and stupid things.

    stock dyno results

I hate to cut in, but I thought I would share.
Here are my stock dyno results from yesterday.
I went up to "The Boost Creep" Harvey in Longmont as he was offering free dyno runs for stock vehicles.
By the way, Harvey was very professional and knowledgable. I will def. be going back for my tunes. Also he did say that his readings were slightly high.

    free dyno run's

Harvey in Longmont was very cool and has been offering free dyno runs for stock Subaru's for a while. I am not sure what car's he still needs so I would give him a shout and ask him. He did mention to me that he was more open for Subaru's because they tend to come back.

Oh, he is also on vacation so if you don't hear back right a way that's probably why.

    Howdy!

Since you were all so helpful before, maybe I can fish for some more WRXpertise...

I'm making I-70 runs to the mountains now in my new '09, and wondering how I can best protect my exterior. Does anyone have good recommendations on what I could do (and where I should go in the Denver area) to keep my beautiful blue looking exactly as it does now? Clear bras, paint protection, etc?

On an unrelated note, you gotta love AMC when they're showing "Enter the Dragon!"

I've yet to see a solution that works except what my neighbor did which was pretty much clear bra the whole front clip on his evo. All the cars with clear bras I've seen just looked weird because the front 12" has no chips and the rest of the hood did. That, and they even had nicks in the clear bra...which looks just as bad as a paint chip IMO.

I've been wondering the same thing. When I get my car repainted, what will I have to do to keep it looking really nice. Almost everywhere I drive, I find that even if the roads are better, my car gets rocks thrown at it every week. I reckon something I can do is move to a state with less snow, which means less potholes and environments in which rocks are going to be thrown from other cars. Sadly that won't happen anytime soon. Parker I have to say in the cleaniness factor is much better than any part of Aurora.
