07 wrx stg.2 vs. 03 corvette

well today after lunch break for class a classmate was talking about racing in his vet. so i asked him if he wanted to race.and of course he said yes with a big ole smile on his face.

specs on both cars:
03 50th annv. corvette. ls1 automatic

07 wrx cobb stg.2

we line up at the light.i have my launch control set at 4500rpm's building 7psi.light turns green i get the jump on him and stay in front by 1 1/2 cars till about 65 when he catches up to me and gets me at about 1 car at 100.

i knew i was going to lose but i just wanted to see how my car would fair when running a vet. his face was pricless when i was pulling on him through 1st-beginning of 3rd. he was like oh sh!t!!! it was a good run.after we went back to class gave each other the respectable props and started class.

just thought i would share that.

So you raced on public streets?!

I'm sure you didn't go to a drag strip in between classes...

nice run, LS2 wasn't around in 03 though. I'm sure you meant LS1

yes it was a public street.there where no cars or anything.i would have not raced if there were any sort of traffic.im sorry that we dont have tracks down here.the nearest on is an 1 1/2 hrs away and is closed for most of the week.the only days it is open are when we have class.

Ok.

Congrats on beating him in the beginning but i think it was very stupid to race on public streets.. It's one thing to speed by yourself, but to actually have a race...
