The rubbing is on the inside - I thought the pics showed this(?).
I am going to cut my losses and sell the 245/40/17 and go with 225/45/17 (I hope they fit OK). I am quite bummed about this.
If I was a competitive driver with an equally competitive car I would do the roll. I am not and my WRX is a DD first. My concern is the wear the unprotected fenders will see once rolled. There is a fair amount of gravel between here and where I work. JR commented on the lower plastic part of the rear fenders - they look shot blasted. WRX paint is ... well we know.
