    Took first in class (novice)

Great time was had by all. The WRX Wagon acquitted herself quite well besting a selection of opponents: 07 Mazda Mx-5, an Audi A4, an SRT-4, an 01 S2000, and a few others. So far (still early in the season, obviously), I'm leading the championship points race. I placed second in the previous event and first in this one. WRX FTW

I'm running in the novice class as this is my first full year (one event last season). However, in looking at the times for D-Stock, I'd have won the last event and I think would have been very close to placing in this one.... might should have registered in D-Stock. Anyway, I started the season in novice, I think I'll stay there. Jump to D-Stock next year.

Glad you enjoyed the event!! We were really pleased with how smoothly it ran given the frigid wind and the unusually large turnout.

Will you be coming up for the event in Greer?

I'm hoping so. I have a few logistical issues to deal with. If they work out I'll be running from Charleston to Tryon, NC on Saturday and from there to the event on Sunday.

Have you been to any of the events at the BMW site? If so, how was the course setup? I'd think that would be an ideal facility to setup a great course.

Will you be on the 29th? 'Better be when it's in your backyard ;-)

I've designed a couple of the courses there. But this one should be in the bigger 'c' lot, which I personally like even better than the 'usual' lot. Much bigger, and fewer light poles & curbs, although fewer places to put the paddock. It should be a good event... we almost always get big numbers and lots of awesome cars at the Greenville events. And yep, I'll be there! I'll be working registration again, so if you come, be sure to say hey.
