First AutoX experience, not too shabby

Well I just got done with my first autocross and I had a absolute blast. I participated in the Salina region & got 4 runs in.

First run was slow. The next 3 definitely felt faster, but apparently I play WAY too close to the cones because I got a DNF on the other 3 . Part of my dilemna I believe is that my left eye i prosthetic, causing my depth perception to be crap. I will definitely be going again in 2 weeks to better myself.

I kept tire pressure at 35psi all around. Have stock tires. Catless downpipe & tune is all I am running.

This is my daily driver & because of that am unsure what I should do suspension wise to tighten things up without making it unbearable on the street.

Possibly will take my 02 z06 next time to see how that does.

I've been wanting to participate for years so I am super excited to finally have done it!

Sweet! Aww man I can't wait till my first autoX. I'm going to have brand new sway bars(hoping) in right before so I'll be driving a totally different wagon. Doesn't matter, I'll have lots of friends there to root for too. Gonna be a blast!
when my friends come up, i hear, "you sold the camarrrroooh.....HOLY BLEEP A WRX!"
Ya has that effect on me too.

    Where did he go??

I can't even remember what class lol. STO maybe?

Sways would be a very good idea. I felt lots of body roll.

You would be in a SP class, probably ESP.
ST* would require you to maintain stock boost (most stage 2 maps do not maintain the stock boost tables) SM is much higher in modifications, *SP is right in the middle.

Sway bars make a huge difference, so does a proper alignment. I would also run much higher pressure, at least in the front. I run ~40-45 psi in the front, and some consider that to little. 38-42 in the rear.

Also, welcome to your new addiction.
