    First passes in the Rex

Finally got to the track on Friday night. Perfect 60* night to make some runs.

Took the lady friend with me so I did have a passenger but my main goal was to be in the 100 mph club stock lol

First pass was literally a minute after I paid to get in. Pulled right on the track and launched at about 5200..No launch control.

Second Pass I didn't want to launch it that high again so I figured I would ease off the line on this run.

Third pass I launched at 4k, once again, No launch control.

it appears that the less you launched it the faster your 1/4 mile times were

Actually his first pass was the fastest he got into 13's with a launch at 5200rpm with no launch it was almost a full second slower and launching at 4k it was 2 tenths of a second slower. :P

    It's a stock 13 wrx.

Bobby I just revved twice, small rev to get to about 3k, then another to jump to over 5k and drop the clutch.

Knocked muh lady friends sunglasses off her head haha

I swear, the first launch couldn't have gone better. Pulled up, and just did it off impulse. Very minimal spin and I was gone with no bog at all.

This also wasn't the best track too. I was gonna go to Norwalk which is summit motorsports track... But I wouldn't have gotten there till later in the night and they were busy as all hell.

Where are you in Ohio? I've been tempted to make the long drive to Norwalk when I'm there, but went to Thompson which is a lot closer. Won't go back there though. Didn't like the track and broke there last time too. So not a fan.

edit: Dragway 42 looks close to Medina, which isn't far from where I spend a lot of time out there. How is it there?

by drop the clutch did you actually dump the clutch? Not the best method to go about that if you are shooting for good e.t rather you should slip the clutch out so boost is not being lost.

Did you use your ebrake before the launch so you wouldn't red light? or was the track flat enough to where you dont roll. I have yet to track my car lol. Waiting to get my retune.
