Watch an electric Toyota race car break a Nürburgring record
A Radical race car powered by a Toyota all-electric powertrain just broke the Nürburgring electric-car lap record of 59 hours (kidding, 9 minutes 1.338 secs), lapping the Nordschleife in 7 minutes 47.794 seconds. That's about the same as the BMW M3 GTS.
The electric kit — dubbed TMG EV P001 — is the product of Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG). The powertrain comprises two electric motors, providing 590 lb-ft of torque, which propel the car to a top speed of nearly 162 mph. Driver Jochen Krumbach set the time, breaking the previous EV record set earlier this year by the Peugeot EX1 concept.
It also sounds curiously like a roller coaster.

I wonder what battery system they used.
Life is like riding a bicycle in order to keep your balance you must keep moving.
That is way cool. There is hope in the electric world, but it all revolves around getting battery technology affordable. But it sure could get fun if it takes off.
Amazing heal toe work there.
