RESULTS: 2011 Motovicity Distribution IDRC Sport Compact Nationals presented by BR
Well it was a great weekend, hot and humid. Many thanks to Motovicity, DSport Magazine and the IDRC for getting on board with the event for the second year in a row.
There were three classes total set up to run. Street tire, Race tire and a Kart class.
The course was set up in a large U shaped pattern on wide roadways. We had two guys come in, take one look at the pavement we had to work with and leave..........definitely their loss. The course was a complete blast to run and the guys from NORA did an exceptional job of setting it up and running the event. They are true professionals. Speeds at the finish line were approaching 100 mph.

RACE TIRE
1st Place, Ben Linfield, Mazda Miata, 32.890 seconds
2nd Place, Stephen Dorman, Ford Focus, 34.03 seconds
3rd Place, Jim Wylie (type of car, unknown), 34.28 seconds
STREET TIRE
1st Place, David Sutton, S2000, 31.83 seconds
2nd Place, Trevor Jones, Genesis Coupe, 32.25 seconds
3rd Place, Phil Hudson, S2000, 32.70 seconds
KART

For the Sunday Sport Compact Drag Race we had a total of 650 people and 79 racers come out.
