I'm going back to bandimere again this year. Last year I got a best of 13.4. The plan is to install 1000cc injectors, a boost control solenoid, and get an E85 tune. We'll see if I can pull it off. If I can't, then it's on to a 20g-xt turbo, hardened engine mounts, perrin turbo inlet, and a true cold air intake that sits out of the engine bay.
Here's my mod list:
Engine Bay:
K&N Typhoon Short Ram Intake
IHI VF39 Turbo
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
Processwest TMIC w/ Silicone piping and Shroud
Ceramic Coated BPM Downpipe
BPM Midpipe with Resonator
BPM Catback
SPT Radiator Shroud
Cobb Turbo Heatshield
SPT IC Heatshield
Protune by Harvey Epstein
Traction Bits:
Enkei 17x8 45et RPF-1 Wheels
225/45/17 Pilot Sport A/S+ Tires
STi Pink Springs
Cobb 25mm F/R Swaybars
Perrin Spherical Bushing Endlinks
Eibach Camber Bolts
SPT F/R Strut Tower Bars
Brakes:
Brembo Calipers
Hawk HPS Pads
Goodrich SS Lines
ElF DOT 4+ Fluid
Transmission:
6spd STi Transmission
ACT Streetlight Flywheel
ACT XTSS Clutch
Kartboy Shortshifter with Bushings
Soon to be installed:
all shifter bushings (and I mean all...)
Outrigger Bushings
Subframe Lock Bolts
Group N tranny mount
TiC Crossmember Bushing

I'm at 17.4psi max boost in 4th and above on the VF39.

Ahhh.. That's where you're wrong my friend. Local tuner got 400whp out of a 20G XT on E85 my friend. It's not a 20g... 20gXT. XT is Blouch's version of the HTA
here's blouch's description
Description
Application: Subaru WRX/STi
Horsepower: 470HP
While full ball bearing performance tubochargers have their place, we realize they are not for everyone. Because of this, Blouch Performance Turbo has developed billet "XT" compressor aero specifically for our Subaru journal bearing customers - hence the new 20G-XT. These new 20G-XT compressor wheels really are a work of art: stronger yet lighter closed die forged aluminum alloy combined with state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machining allows for tweaking the aero for even greater mass flow and efficiency from a given geometry.
But they are not all looksies - they really perform: the 20G-XT produces greater peak torque and peak horsepower when compared to the "old" 20G at the same boost pressure! Now that truly is bolt-on performance! But the performance gains do not stop there - BPT has developed a proprietary jounal bearing turbine wheel and shaft assy. that performs extremely well with the 20G-XT aero. And BPT is offering three (3) Subaru turbine housing options to tailor the 20G-XT to your specific application: 7cm2, 8cm2 and 10cm2 and a 3" bellmouth inlet option. All of this is wrapped up in a bolt-on package for your Subaru complete with steel oil drain tube, coolant lines, turbo mounting gaskets and adjustable upgrade actuator as standard issue. Don't settle for anything less than the best performance turbo technology for your Subaru - order your BPT 20G-XT today!
Also Drew... at the same power... we get .7-1.1seconds slower up here at altitude... So my 12 second WRX could more or less be an 11 second WRX at sea level.
You have educated me sir!

Hey Kevin,
Which tuner are you going to go with? Where are you getting the XT from?
I'm still hoping to go stage 3 this summer on the WRX, but, $$$$ will dictate. The turbo swap is not really the issue, it's going to be the rear diff and trans upgrades needed for the 400whp thing. I still have to do the GF 2.2 swap too. Oh joy....
Knowledge not shared is knowledge lost.
Old enough to know better, young enough to try it.
Swamp Monster Rally Racing- 91 Impreza - Phase II 2.5 w/ DOHC, RS25 trans/diff, header, 2.25" catted exh, WRX springs, AGX struts, L&M steering, RS power-slot brakes = stage rally build in progress...
