    OH MY GOD!!

That was awesome. I mean granted I was in a stock 2002 WRX...BUT WHAT A RIOT!! There was a Stage 2 tuned WRX there also and I was only a second off of his pace. I thought it was going to be quite a bigger gap between him and I.

Anyway I had an awesome time I cant wait to go again.

There is one at FedEx Field on 10/3 (WDCR-SCCA, registration will open on 9/26 at http://solo.wdcr-scca.org).

There is another at Blue Crabs Stadium in Waldorf on 10/17 (registration open now, see the thread I just bumped about Autocrossers, Inc. events). Why I'd suggest the AI event over the WDCR event for a novice? AI is more novice-friendly, with dedicated instructors and ride-alongs being encouraged.

There are other marque clubs around too. I know my boyfriend's going to a Porsche Club event at the Bowie Baysox stadium tomorrow.

If you're not sure about signing up (ie., paying in advance), why not just swing by an event to see what it's like? It's free to spectate. Talk to some people, maybe take a ride-along with one of the fast guys, and see if it's something you do want to try for yourself.....

The Lincoln, NE stuff was for the SCCA Solo Nationals, which is in Lincoln. There are plenty of NWR folks who make the trek to Lincoln and do well.
