Took my stock 09 WRX to the track today...

So, I'm still trying to figure out this whole...AWD...thing. The first pass wasn't very good but I was actually proud of it considering it was my first pass ever in the car. I'm happy with the results since it's completely stock, but I think she has a little more in her when I can figure out how to launch it properly. We got rained out after 3 passes, so this is all I have. Here are the times:

    1st Pass:
    2.14 - 60'
    5.94 - 330'
    9.11 - 1/8 ET
    78.26 - 1/8 MPH
(1000' was broken on right side)
    14.07 - 1/4 ET
    98.87 - 1/4 MPH

    2nd Pass:
    2.19 - 60'
    5.91 - 330'
    9.03 - 1/8 ET
    79.10 - 1/8 MPH
    11.69 - 1000' ET
    92.04 - 1000' MPH
    13.96 - 1/4 ET
    99.80 - 1/4 MPH

    And the last pass: 13.73 @ 100.00:

Definitely capable of a 13.5, but we'll probably never know, because I'll be stage 1 before I hit the track next most likely.

That's sweet dude! Last weekend I on ran a 14.20 in my stock 07. Buut we did just go stage 2 with a Perrin downpipe and a custom 3" exhaust on Thursday. Were going down next weekend again I'll let you know that's goes. Where did you drop it from on your 13.7 pass?

On a stock transmission, the best way I have found is the 3-5k boost slip.

Between 3-5k you build a bit of boost... so hold at 3k RPMs, then right before the tree lights up in green, gun it from 3-5k and you'll build boost. Then slip it.

I'm Scared Sh!tless to drop the clutch... especially on a ACT Stage 1 clutch with a Protuned vf39... I'm asking for my transmission to shatter...

Yeah, the best one I got was starting at about 4000, then the slip drops it down to 3000, then I punched it and slipped it quickly. I think I can slip it a bit faster though...just gotta take it and practice.
