Took my stock 09 WRX to the track today...

    Took my stock 09 WRX to the track today...

    So, I'm still trying to figure out this whole...AWD...thing. The first pass wasn't very good but I was actually proud of it considering it was my first pass ever in the car. I'm happy with the results since it's completely stock, but I think she has a little more in her when I can figure out how to launch it properly. We got rained out after 3 passes, so this is all I have. Here are the times:

    1st Pass:
    2.14 - 60'
    5.94 - 330'
    9.11 - 1/8 ET
    78.26 - 1/8 MPH
    (1000' was broken on right side)
    14.07 - 1/4 ET
    98.87 - 1/4 MPH

    2nd Pass:
    2.19 - 60'
    5.91 - 330'
    9.03 - 1/8 ET
    79.10 - 1/8 MPH
    11.69 - 1000' ET
    92.04 - 1000' MPH
    13.96 - 1/4 ET
    99.80 - 1/4 MPH

    And the last pass: 13.73 @ 100.00:


    Definitely capable of a 13.5, but we'll probably never know, because I'll be stage 1 before I hit the track next most likely.

    That's sweet dude! Last weekend I on ran a 14.20 in my stock 07. Buut we did just go stage 2 with a Perrin downpipe and a custom 3" exhaust on Thursday. Were going down next weekend again I'll let you know that's goes. Where did you drop it from on your 13.7 pass?

    Drop it? I hope you don't mean dump the clutch...
    2009 DGM WRX 5-door w/ STI short shifter. Stock...for now.

    On a stock transmission, the best way I have found is the 3-5k boost slip.

    Between 3-5k you build a bit of boost... so hold at 3k RPMs, then right before the tree lights up in green, gun it from 3-5k and you'll build boost. Then slip it.

    I'm Scared Sh!tless to drop the clutch... especially on a ACT Stage 1 clutch with a Protuned vf39... I'm asking for my transmission to shatter...

    Yeah, the best one I got was starting at about 4000, then the slip drops it down to 3000, then I punched it and slipped it quickly. I think I can slip it a bit faster though...just gotta take it and practice.
