Alright, turning the wheels, and it's a spring like sound, it sounds like the springs are rotating when they should be stationary in relation to the strut housing.

Sorry for the vagueness... I can go take a quick vid if needed

Check my thread for the part about the sproing - Mark from GC gave me advice on that and it did work. It sounds like it might be the same issue or similar.

    Searching!

    Found it!
That is sort of like the sound. I do get that sound but it's more of a continuous sound like a creaking door, but really loud.

the R32 is a pretty capable car, I wouldn't be surprised w/ another full year under their belts to be in thick of things this year (they faired pretty well last year)

It seemed like a light car.

The one big complaint that i had was the center diff noise, and the HEAVY STEERING!

It sucked in the tight sections but was BEAUTIFUL in the flowing stuff!

It was very interesting to get back in the WRX to limp it home with a plug in the tire... The steering was too light...

Mike, any idea on the GC/RCE Plate bit?

it's possible the spring is either turning on the bottom (strut perch) or the top (under the upper perch)

here's one possible solution for the lower perch
NASIOC - View Single Post - Ground Controls and shocks discussion

the upper could possibly the bearing binding, this appears to be pretty common w/ the new WL plates, but I haven't really heard it much w/ the RCE plates (although JR was getting some creaking)

also look at John's build thread- he found a little squeaking gremlin (and a fix )

It is indeed the spring turning. I'm going to mark the spring position relative to the lower perch, and upper "cone" go for a drive and then check.

I have a feeling it is binding at the bearing in the camber plate... :-( because my passenger side is quiet as can be!!!!

Though that is another good idea, I'm going to try John's first and see if that helps!

The GC tech guy almost had me pulling out my CC for their Camber plates!

Alright, it pains me to do this, but the project is on complete hold at the moment. Some things have come up and I need to possibly sell all the corner carving bits and pieces to take car of life.

Look for a forsale thread in the near future with most all of the parts from this build...
