Oh man,you were there! Nice ending to the season, although a few guys got screwed by the new countdown system. I hope they get rid of it.

    The countdown is a disgrace.
    Pure and simple.
The idea to make two races be the whole contest is just not right. I am quite ashamed. I would be upset, but much less so if they made everything after Indy be the chase. That would be a better wedge of reality.
The NHRA got exactly what they wanted out of the deal. Fake excitement. Fake tension just like the fake drama of the 'reality' shows that spawned this poor idea.
With multiple car teams, sponsors that have their veins running through multiple teams, and the exchange of cold hard cash has brought diving for the other lane competitor to a new low.
Or maybe you think that it was fair that Rivas lost his ride during qualifying and replaced before the last session. Maybe you believe that Angelle stalled the bike on purpose, or that Cruz did not mean to smoke the tires, or team Matco and the same, or that McBride lifted for a reason, or that Angie's leathers in the trailer were a coincidence, or that. .
This just gets me going. There is no need for this fake drama. Last year was the closest racing in history. For real. Every team faces every other team every time out. So there is no need for a playoff. No need for charity points, and no need for fake drama. And having three of the classes have different champions on the old system -vs- the new proves that. We have the real stuff in this sport. It just makes me
