They are at least different from the manifolds on the FXT. I'll have to look at my manifold next time I'm under there.

I searched around on nasioc and many say that even though they are different part #'s- they're the same

clearly the FXT ones are different (smaller)

I might have wooted too early

clearly different part numbers, but from posts that include folks that have ported a bunch of them (including grimmspeed) appear to be the same

there are some folks that make a aftermarket crossover- not sure what kind of gains, but that might be worth looking into???

That is kind of what I was thinking...

Grimmspeed sells an aftermarket crossover with the p&p manifold, and then they coat it all... for abour 400 all said and done... I was thinking I would get it uncoated and get a buddy here in town to do it...

They do have different manifolds for the 2.5l WRXs...

Some where I was reading that Subaru tweaked the exhaust for more torque on the later model STI's about the time they adopted the new SAE dyno procedures. No way to compare old and new HP and TQ from the factory. Different part numbers would back up that tweak up.

I first posted in this thread thinking i was getting by with just buying some koni's... here's my current "this year" upgrade list:

    Update:

Up-Pipe - Gutting Stocker Waiting on weather

Downpipe - Invidia Catted, it apparently resists throwing a CEL. If it throws one, i'm buying another high-flow and taking it to a muffler shop. on the way, backordered

CBE - Borla Hush In the basement

EM - found a v1 APIn the basement

Springs - RCE wagon springs. 280/260 In the basement

Shocks - Koni sports. In the basement

Camber plates - Hotchkis plates In the basement

Need '04+ GroupN rear mounts for rear strut assembly in the basement

Front sway - Whiteline 27, already on car

Rear sway - Whiteline 24, in the basement

Front Endlinks - Poltec spherical already on car

Rear Endlinks - Poltec hardened in the basement

Brake Pads - Hawk HPS, need to check what rear pads i need need to order

Brake Lines - Stainless guys will order with pads and fluid

Wheels/tires - Up in the air. Rota something likely, azeni's most likely, if i hit the lottery some adven neova's. Running low on budget, have stockers with 225/50 azenis on them now

Camber bolts for rear - Need to research and buy. Got to get rid of that rear camber somehow. (what a strange problem to have)

Rear strut brace - Apparently for the wagon, this is important. Whiteline makes one with quick release terminals, good for storage, i'll get that one.

    you've been bitten!

sway links are free in STX

on wheels, watch the for sale used- you can often buy really nice wheels for a fraction of the cost

there were a couple of sets of Enkei RPF1's on nasioc, probably gone now, but worth keeping an eye on
