i'd say that's still a domination on the part of the wrx, especially considering the 06-07 are stu, are they not?
This is a discussion on it appears the WRX is no longer the overwhelming dominate force in STX within the Motorsports Talk forums, part of the Community - Meet other Enthusiasts category; Interesting looking at the recently completed Nationals- btw congrats to Chris Fetner on his win in STX- much deserved (he ...
Interesting looking at the recently completed Nationals- btw congrats to Chris Fetner on his win in STX- much deserved (he does drive a WRX)
looking at the top 15 drivers (32 driver class)- only 5 are WRX's (1st,4th,5th, 9th, 12th)- eight BMW's!!! (2nd,3rd, 6,7,8, 13, 14, 15) and two VW R32's (10,11)
the BMW's were a mixture of 325 and 328is's and a couple of 88 (E30) M3's- obviously they have come a long way in getting sorted for the STX class of late
Interestingly on the tire front - the top 15 was split evenly between Yokohama and Bridgestone

top two spots in STU were STi's (sme car- driver/co-driver)- 8 of the top fifteeen, the rest were EVO's and a M3 or two
previously more heavily dominated by the WRX in STX, still obviously a good platform to be in![]()

I would also like to see the specific results. What specific Bridgestone and Yokohama tires were used?

It's interesting that 7 of the 9 WRX's in STX were Bugeyes.
