I can't express to you how much the cops SUCK in VA.

Go to court and get a reduced fine/ no points. Don't sweat it, like you knew already, it was bound to happen!

OT some, but a couple nights ago it was raining and i was stopped at a train crossing. i could see another car on the other side but couldnt tell what it was and didnt make much of it. when the gates opened up i spun my tires a bit just for fun, and then looked up and realized it was a cop car sitting on the other side of the tracks! doh. well he didnt care enough to turn around and follow me thankfully...

Shouldv'e been a simple "fix-it" ticket to get rid of those crappy RE92's.

Seriously, rally_wannabe - that really sucks. I know how those RE92's squeel waaaaay before the car is even working hard. Makes 'ya look bad just driving normally around town, without a doubt.

Just curious, I've heard of "exhibition of speed" and so on. "Negligent driving" is a new one on me. Anyone else ever been ticketed for this ?? Sounds rather subjective and like something that you can fight, citing the heat of the day, road condition, your actual speed, etc.

3 points for MD is rather steep. 3 in VA (where my license is from) is the bare minimum. Good job on the other ticket though. I always wanted to know if that would work.

i got nailed for "display of speed" for speeding up an on ramp....granted you had to take the ramp @ 15mph and i passed 4 cars that merged over already in 2nd gear just SCREAMING in my old 3000gt VR4. I redlined it at 80mph in 2nd, saw blue lights come around a freaking tractor-trailor. I was definently burnt. The cop did say he had never seen someone take off like that and heard me 6 cars back with his windows up got driving school for it! (again) haha
