    Anything.

But in order for a dealership to properly void a warranty, that aftermarket part has to be the direct cause of the problem.

But dealerships and service shops can void a warranty due to owner abuse.

    hey tan,
where abouts in monroe county do you live. I grew up in stroudsburg, and am going up for the weekend to visit my parents. Are there many wrx'ers up there? I visit quite a bit and would be interested in meeting some other wrx's in PA.

    I live by East Stroudsbug.

There's only a really small handful of WRX owners up here. For me, there's a decent VW population.

The parts department at bell subaru in Rahway said any upgrade thats an sti part (subaru made) will not void warranty. Bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, and exhaust as long as its sti your good too go.

It's going to depending from dealership to dealership.

Ertle Subaru in Stroudsburg, PA has the STI parts will void your warranty.

If your dealership is telling you otherwise, get it in writing, preferable on the dealership's letterhead.

hi, i just picked up my new wrx on thursday and the dealer told me that ANYTHING could possibly void the warranty... including a security system. (he wasn't being a jerk, just didn't want me to get caught in some nasty thing). he said that the best thing to do is to call the dealership, get it in writing from thm as well as from the shop that is installing something that what they are doing will not void my warranty. by the way.. i love my new car!!
