    almost got a ticket

well tonite i had my first pulling over with the wrx.
    i was drivin in a 35mph road which i usually go 45-50mph.
i was almost to where it changes to 45 and saw the back end of the hanover co. cop and so i glanced back my rearview and saw that he turned around. i was like sh!!t. so of course i drove slower and he was on my bumper. then i pulled over in the parkin lot. i gave him my license and registration and was so nerovus. then he was laughin and lookin all up in my car b/c i bet he was jealous. he was like were u in a hurry for an emergancy? where u going? i was like just home. he was like u were going 52 in a 35 but i bet its hard to drive slow in a wrx. i was like omg lol.
thank god i didnt get a ticket. now i need to drive slower. but it is hard in a wrx :drivin:

Tell me 'bout it. I've had the rex for 5 months and have gotten ticketed twice. And they both happened in the same week ! BTW, can anyone help me out with one of my tickets? I plead guilty to a 60 in a 45, but didn't realize that it would have been a two point violation instead of the 4 points had I plead to a 59 in a 45. So if anyone can help me in the Municipal Court of Gloucestor City area, please let me know. I can't believe it, 1 mph less and I would have 2 less points...

i could be wrong here, but i do believe once you've pleaded guilty and it's done, it's done. i don't think there's a court of appeals for minor traffic offenses. swallow the points, invest in good radar, and be more careful

Already a step ahead. I work at Best Buy and got the Escort Passport 8500 for cheap. That thing's great. I just wished I had it sooner. Anyway, I called the court today, and they told me to write a letter to the judge addressed to the court, and hopefully he could re-open the case and let me plea to 1 mph less to get my points reduced from 4 to 2. So that's what I'm gonna do, hopefully he has some sympathy.

next time when a cop rids your bumper slam the breaks on hehehe! when he pulls you over mention that 3 car lengths is the correct amount of distance for him to travel. and "if I was going 52mph and you were right on me then YOU were speeding to" heheheh! KIDDING!! you can't say that to a cop cause there god, and will give you a ticket.

Do cops pull over trucks? I swear they go 20 over any speedlimit on the interstate, but I never see them get pulled over!?

sure they do - you just don't see it as often cause there are fewer trucks on the highway than cars. if you only knew the list of things that cops can nail truckers for, you wouldn't feel so badly; it makes the list of things they can get us for look very very small.

Just an update: I found out today that after writing that letter to the judge, he lowered the offense from 4 points to 2. I'm so relieved. At least there are some sympathetic judges out there...

I got an 85mph in a 65mph zone. Radar Detectors obviously don't work if they pace you . It was dark, he snuck up on me two lanes over and I saw the crown vic headlights just a little too late. That'll teach me to pay more attention (and to not drink and drive )
