July 5th - 6th: Hyper Fest @ Summit Point

So much going on during these events. It sounds like a lot of fun. For $40 you get roughly 30 minutes of track time with an instructor. It's money well spent to those who want to get a taste of circuit track racing.

Anyone interested in getting organized for this one?

I'd be down for that. Is it really two days or would it be possible to just go on Saturday, since the 6th is a Auto-X in D.C. It would be great to get some track time saturday then auto-x sunday with more experience.

I just signed up after seeing you can select Saturday or Sunday. I picked Saturday. Gonna be a race weekend for me.

Here are a couple of the better photos. I really need to upgrade my camera for these motion shots. Besides the heat we really had a good time. I loved those race-prepared Miata's.

Nice pics, I might have some videos that I took later, gotta get them on the computer first. I remember seeing your car there, I was the WRB 2002 with the gold formels, I was in the second hyper drive event. which event did you race in?

I was in the first Hyper-Drive event. Lots of fun. It was very difficult to drive the line with cars in front of you. Very easy to just stare at the bumper and follow the leader. My instructor yelled at me a couple times for that.

I believe I remember seeing your car. Can't miss those JDM headlights.
