Where in MD? If you're in the DC metro area, there's a meet at B&N in Rockville nearly every week and there are a few groups that get together infrequently from time to time, if you're north of there (like Baltimore) or way down south (eastern shore) then it'll be a little harder to find people who meet up close by.
