Question Anything going in N. Virginia area?

I am new to the area, just moved to Quantico in Nov with the Marines. Bought the Rex in January and would like to know of any hot-spots for cruising, races (street/strip), or general meetings with Subaru owners.

    Thanks

I know that there are a bunch of WRX's in that area. I'm sure there are some clubs up there, but if you're not opposed to driving a little, we have a club in the Southern part of VA. We have members all over the state, and some in MD and PA too. So all our events and such will be held in a central location (we're thinking about Richmond) so nobody has to drive too far.

Our website is http://brsc.cjb.net (sorry about the pop-ups... I'm working on that). Our email is brsc@dooleyprinting.com

    Welcome to the DC area!

There's a group of Subaru guys that meet up at Reston Town Center on Fridays. They are mostly older body RS's, some with turbos. And up in Rockville MD we meet up at the Barnes and Noble off of Rockville Pike/Rt355 on Friday also. If you want more info on it, just ask.

And I HIGHLY recommend you go to this: Lake Fairfax meet

Last year it was HUGE. It's tons of fun and you'll meet a lot of Subie guys/gals that go to both the Reston and the Rockville meets.

Good to have another WRX owner around. Feel free to ask more questions about the area.

PS: I used to live in VA, not too far from Quantico, nice area down there.

    Thanks for the info Jim,

That was exactly what I was looking for. Being in the Marines, I move around a lot. Its pretty hard to get clued into some of the bigger spots, let alone meet other subie owners.

Hope to see some of you guys around.

A popular hangout spot in the spring-summer is in Manassas, on Mathis Avenue, Saturday and I think Friday nights.

    thanks Tan,

I heard that from someone else down here too. Actually I saw a very nice WRX Wagon, gold 18's on PW-parkway and Minnieville Rd. Today.
