honestly, i have been to that forum and from what i was reading, it isn't for me. i am already an active member of 3 car forums, all of which provide useful information related to my vehicle. the meets i attend, are usually driving related. i am not saying that mdstreetscene is a bad place, but car show/parking lot meets are not for me, nor do i care what other people think of my ride. the subforums that have to do with performance have some good info, but nothing near the quality you find in other places because the community caters to every car and does not focus on just a few. this may be fine for someone who has been bitten by the modding bug for the first time, but when you need help with a specific problem, it just makes sense to look elsewhere when you own a subaru. nasioc and scoobymods have covered almost anything you can think of in terms of a wrx or sti. again, i am not saying that there is anything wrong with your forum, just that i use car forums for a different purpose.
i also didn't like that i was forced to register just to be able to look at a thread. that is either a cheap way of gaining a count of forum members to make it look bigger than it is, or a small attempt to hide something from the general public. all my forums allow people to come to the site and browse around to see if they like what they see, and to provide useful info to those who seek it, regardless of if they are a member or not.
just my .02
