    Question Insurance rates?

What's everyone paying for insurance / how old are you / what company are you insured by / how's your driving record?

The reason I ask is that I was quoted $320 a month by Progressive, Geico, Nationwide, and State Farm, and Esurance while I was quoted $177 - $220 a month by Allstate.

    I don't care how poor a company's customer service reputation is - I'll gladly keep that $100.

28 yrs old, clean record (no tickets/accidents in the last 5 years)

    Drive a 2002 WRX sedan

Have Allstate (switched from State Farm who was charging me a little over $550 every 6 months for state minimum coverage).

I pay $448 for one step up from state minimum coverage every 6 months with Allstate.

I'll probably switch to Erie or one of the other companies that will only cover you if you're an excellent driver because I had a ticket that hadn't rolled off my record yet when I was looking to switch companies last year.

    Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I'm guessing my quote from Allstate (~$1100 every six months) is about right, then, as insurance rates seem to drop pretty dramatically after 25. At least... I think that's the age. Actually, I'm fairly certain they drop at 21 as well... which, if you think about it, doesn't make a ton of sense.

The only major drop is at 25 and if you get married (assuming you don't get tickets or in accidents around those events) if I remember right.
