    That is some really dry heat you are having. The closer the air temperature and the dewpoint temperature are means more humidity. 96 / 47 is quite dry.
    ok. I dont know much about that stuff, I just know that some days I can go out and be soaked from the humidity

    For comparison sake, you are at 100 degrees w/ 40% humidity...

    we will be at 97 degrees w/ 85% humidity... walking outside feels like you got punched in the face...

    I have spent time in the southwest, 110 there feels like 85 here

    We were pretty fortunate here yesterday. When we hit Jazzfest it was around 105 and 40% humidity. Usually this time of year it's aobut 95-100 and 70+% humidity. It gets downright nasty up here. Back home in western Kansas it's nice and dry, and 100 degrees isn't that bad.
    My water heater has a blow off valve.
