Tuning?

I've been plinking around with my ECU. I bought my WRX and later found out it had a tune but didn't know by whom. It was running ok but was knocking too much for my liking.

Long story short, I've learned a thing or two about tuning my ECU and what to meet up with another "closet tuner" or other interested party so as to learn more about tuning and not blowing up engines. I just want to meet up at a meet or whatever and shoot the stuff about timing, MAF scaling and all that. Yeh there are lots of sites to check out with lots of info but if I tune my ride in front of you and you tune yours I think we could learn more.

I'm busy the next couple of known meetups but eventually I'll make it out there.

I don't mind helping somebody flash a known good map or whatever. It's a realitively easy process. I've got a bugeye so I have the reflash connectors. Other equipment I have includes Vag-com cable (good for logging, going to mod it to flash to 02-03s), Tactrix cable (flashes everthing) and a handy software loaded up netbook.

So hit me up if you would like to have an ocassional "tuning buddy". I say ocassion because I've got three kids in soccer, so that's most of my weekends gone until the season is over.
