Hello fellow WRX owners,
I'm new to this group but not to WRX ownership. I've owned my '02 WRX Sport Wagon since '04 but am prepping it for sale by installing a Gates timing belt kit and could use some help. I've done other work on the car in the past e.g, brakes, O2 sensor, plugs, pcv valve, fuel filter and I'm reasonably mechanically competent. I have all the tools required (save some specialty ones) including an impact wrench and an air conditioned garage. What I lack is experience with timing belts and frankly it makes me slightly nervous. If anyone in the DC area familiar with this repair is free this weekend and is interested in working with me on this project, I'd appreciate the assistance. I can offer $100 cash, lunch, friendly banter and cold beer.
