    Hey there all, just bought myself a beautiful white 02' wrx and looking for some good spots to take her out to admire the seemingly hidden beauty of this state. I've been a florida native for about 18 years so I never got much of a chance to experience elevation.. but I've always loved it! Anywho, just introducing myself; I'm at bum-**** nowhere dahlgren for the good ol' navy and got about 4 months left so just trying to soak up as much as I can in the commonwealth.

    thanks fer the welcome wagon. I used to live in florida but I'm active duty and currently in Dahlgren, Va. It's right at the maryland/virginia border on the bay.

    Well, if you could swing it, we have meets every Monday and Saturday with usually pretty big turn outs.

    Monday nights at 7pm
    Saturdays at 4pm

    It's a little bit of a drive for you (I'm sure you love driving your scoob though! ), but I recommend checking out Skyline Drive aka the BlueRidge Parkway. It's a road through the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking the Shenandoah valley/river. A great drive and amazing overlooks. Some definite photo ops as well!

    absolutely, I have another buddy with a rex so I might look into the saturday meet. And yes, I love driving but I looooove driving the suh-bah-ruh so much more! I actually checked out skyline drive under one of the posts and it looks absolutely amazing; as well as photogenic.
