    Skyline Cruise this weekend

    Me and Speedette are going Saturday, but we were wondering if anyone else would be interested in going? We plan on cruising with a few stops for some fall pictures.

    Anyone?

    Due to rain Sunday we will meet at Spelunker's (if their lot is full, park in the one across the street) in Front Royal at 12:30.

    Skyline Drive is one of my favorite places. I live in Arizona now, but I miss seeing the Fall colors back in the Mid Atlantic. The picture of my WRX in my signature was taken at Skyline Drive.

    Not sure. When we went the higher altitudes were already browned out, only the lower areas still had color. Keep in mind that Skyline Dr is a 100 mile long scenic mountain path, the other end is actually much closer to you than where we started. The weekend we went someone on NASIOC was also coming, but they came from Richmond going the opposite direction.

    ahh.. I see. I'm still kinda new to the mid atlantic. Lived in upstate NY till 03, spent last 5 yrs in florida, now in norfolk. so not deeply familiar with where the good rides are. I'll have to check the maps n net to kinda orientate myself with the good stuff Any suggestions?

    I'm new to the East Coast myself. So far Skyline Drive is hard to beat (load the map in the 1st post, zoom out, and look just below the location marker...we chose that spot because they have the best burgers ever). I haven't spent much time in your part of VA, so I'd have to ask Speedette.
