I might show up, watch some clutches blow up![]()
if its not hot and humid I will definetly go.. I wanna see if a low 13 is possible with my minimal mods..but the confidence of knowing I have PPG's and I can sidestep my clutch...ahahhaha
don't hate, I still have output gears, rear and front diffs, along with axles that are on my list of breakables...i'm down to go though, so let me know...plus i'm still stock turbo.... so even though I have the gears to take the abuse..there is only so much abuse that tiny td04 can dish out...still 13 flat is my goal if its cool out. we'll see if i'm anywhere close
I might show up.......in my old Escort wagon. The subie is chillin' at the Detroit Metro airport.

driver side rear axle....
I'm confident I would have had a 13.2ish or better @ 101 + had I not let off half way down my first run and had I actually had a second run...AWD burnouts to please the crowd then launching at 5,500rpm on warm tires and a ton of rubber on the track = insane grip, not much spin, and goodbye axle...fun all in all even though I spent the rest of the night with my car waiting for a tow.. alot of nice cars and Dan with the 12.5 vf-34 was unreal...fpgreen and supporting mods = hello 12 flat after I get axles...may be quite a while though since funds are tight right now so subie may be sitting for a bit..
Well one thing Good came out of it...the PPG's held up absolutely fine...hopefully I didn't fry my diffs finishing the quarter on 3 axles..and driving back to the pit area...we'll see the damage come next week.
best run for my was 13.5(let off near the end cause I felt like I was sliding, but was the grooves in the track I caught.) @ 99mph with a 1.9 0-60 .557 reaction time

Nice! bummer you broke, tho..
My buddy (engine builder) keeps breaking stuff, left and right, trying to get a full, WOT pass. Of course, he's in th e700whp range in his 03...
PPGs in a wrx 5MT just squirted the diff out the side of the case, and broke a DSS axle the time before. Time before that, blew the rear diff..
So far, his best is 11.0 @ 135..and hasn't made a good full pass yet!.
Now, he's building a Brand new STI 6MT and we just put PPG dog set in it this week. maybe next weekend, we'll see what happens..
