well hi im thee, anyway....
im planning to buy a sti once im in college, but my cuz bought a wrx rs from philly and it was 2004 for about 14k and it was slightly modded so he called me to go to south phily to the races......in the races there were non-rice crx's that were strip down to the max and they were quick little things. now my cousin wasnt racing and we saw a wrx sti with the
rally decal and it was pretty visible even in the dark as it pulled next to some guy who looked like he was 10 yo with a 300zx with a ricer exhaust. they just split from the pavement and the sti killed the 300zx like it was a civic made me even more want a sti.
....y do most ppl with sti's start on 3rd gear most of the time because i seen alot sti's start off in 3rd gear.

I'll just say this, if you think anyone is launching their STI in third gear, then you definately shouldn't get one.

he should just stick to a stock crx with dual exhaust and lots off decals. telling everyone he spins wheels at 110mph when he hits his nos button.

That would absolutely be the way to go... Rev that thing upto redline, launch in fourth and then you only have to shift once to hit top speed. You'd be doing 140 without all of that pesky shifting.

Then just pull the trans between runs and replace the clutch, but hey speed comes at a price right?
