Did you at least get the gearset from the 2003-2007 WRX or are you not sure?
Im just going with factory gears right now and yeah that is just the if everything goes good 980 lol. mainframe sold me the gears for 350 shipped. I got a steal . later down the road i may get straight cut gears, I just want the darn thing to run already lol
Figured I wouldn't steal someone else's thread... is the trans rebuild 990 for parts and labor? With what gearset are you rebuilding?
Honestly, it didn't make much of a difference. The biggest difference is throttle response when you are not in gear and revving the motor... but even then the moment of inertia of the valvetrain, pistons, crankshaft, and flywheel dwarfs the 4-or-so pound reduction in the crank pulley :-/
how do you like that perrin lightweight pulley?
You're running a 16G coupled with the stock intercooler though? I bet heat-soak is holding you back from producing more power...
