The car is not going to hold max boost all the way to redline. A factory car will hit 14.5 psi in the midrange and taper down to 7psi by redline.

a catback will give you sound but definitely not power. you MIGHT see 1-3HP gain on a good day (unless you get a stage 1 tune) you're going back...
