I actually followed these steps here in the forum http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/suspen...-painting.html Removed the wheels Washed the rims, sanded rims, rinsed rims. Taped off the tire (as to not paint them) and valve stem Used gloss black spray paint for 2 coats Used gloss clear coat for two coats (leaving 45min between each coat of each) Let sit for 2 hours which dried it out completely then put them back onto my car. Dont forget to armorall the tires and side skirt to make them all look good as well
Hey Doug, i was looking at your albums and i really like how your painted rims look. I just purchased an 02 wrx as well and was thinking about doing the same thing. Mind sharing with me what you did to make yours look so good?
