Good Lense(s) for my Rebel XT for Wedding

Just curious as to what lense you guys (and gals) would suggest to shoot at a few weddings that are upcoming with some friends.

I have a Rebel XT SLR. i am pretty sure my 70-200 2.8 would not be what i need. I do have the 18-55mm that comes with the camera and it isnt bad, but wanted to see what else might be better to use.

My vote is the Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS.

Its not an 'L' but I've been very impressed with what I have seen. If you like the focal length of the kit lense but want better low light performance then this is probably your best bet. Plus it has IS.

    Here are some samples.

you will need the 70-200 is 2.8 and you will need something wide like 17-55 2.8.
a 50mm 1.8 or 1.4 could be usefull and a good flash, off camera flash with a ttl cord
