    yeah, hdr takes a few pictures to create. One with the shutter to fast to catch the lows in the picture, one in the correct shutter speed, and one with the shutter staying open to long.

    Canoes are ruling all in the summer. Jump in the water, cool off, ride with the current and carry a car's worth of stuff. Cold beer or whatever you want, and a load of driftwood pre-piled from any nearby shore. Total stealth as well, we even scared up a sleepy owl on one of the inner island passages. That never happens when I'm walking.

    It is a great time though. Kayaking as well...can be pretty intense...

    I enjoyed white water rafting. I could see canoeing as a good family activity. I don't know much at all about canoes, though.
