I'm loving Jenn's Gorge pictures, Jeremy's weird effect shot and Bill's FJ's on the lake!
Canoe trip on the New River near Blacksburg. We try to do a few multi day trips each year but I will do Boone to Blacksburg eventually.
17" Bass on my buddy's fly rig
The Campsite ("Gilligan's Island" according to my wife)
Good variety of class II rapids here. My wife doesn't like to paddle so I take pleasure in soaking her by aiming for all the bigest waves. The second one took her out pretty well.
Buddy's canoe I borrowed is made of Kevlar!
The New River is actually thought to be the second oldest river in the world (after the Nile). The roots of the Appalachian Mountains exposed on cliffs in many places are several Billion years old! The little trees on the cliffs can be 1000+ years old as well. Note the old man's face in the cliff.
