Let's face it, boxer motor = Citroen...

I'll see if I can find an Alfa Romeo around too.

My friend's mother had one of those when I was growing up. The model was a 2CV "Dolly". Not a pleasant car to ride in at all

    Snapshot of the day

The gears were strong apparently because the handbrake was not on the 2CV. If not in gear and not on, the car was... unstoppable. If on, the car was nearly immobile. I think the last one I drove had 35 HP? Such a terrific car though. There's a 007 version since its a James Bond car. My fav is the maroon and black "Charleston" version. All the money.

    Should I wear a beret?

As for boxers, I think Ferrari was the first firm I can think of that used "Boxer" in the name of a car.

    Suba-ru Suba-Who?

Anyway, I'll ask Walker. Johnny Walker.

    Later.

Ironically, planes sometimes don't... Like when there's a part needed that has to be flown in from CH. So we wait. Like in that depressing play with the guys that wait, pathetically, and one even tries to hang himself with his own belt only to have his trousers fall. But I digress...

That is crazy - it looks like you can where see each individual propeller blade hit the water. What RPM would the prop be at?

It looks as though you are right, but it isn't by much. It looks like a two blade prop and you can see the lower blade cutting the water and the top blade sticking straight up is pretty well defined.

I'll hazard a guess of 16,000 rpm - i.e. 267 rps. I'd put it at 1/250 exposure, or maybe 1/125. A camera could do 1/1000 though depending on the light etc.

The engine was just pedaled, so it would be falling in rpm. It was at about 10,200 - and would be somewhere in the 8600-9200 range right now, so with a high 50's% overdrive gear, the guess of 16,000 would be just about right.
The propeller is a Joey Gross CNC 4340 piece, so it will be a hair under 11" in full diameter - and yes, a two blade design. The shot was taken in 1/4000 speed. Cole, the driver, landed the boat back and saved from a terrifying wreck. However, the hull was slightly damaged in the left rear, and took on water and sank at the end of the run.

Somehow I missed this. Very cool, and very crazy!
