It is a hooded samurai warrior or a lion with lion fangs and a mane, and a rolling stones tongue, depending on how you look at it.

Yeah.. see, I shot this at 45mm, f22, 1/20sec, ISO 250. Using my 10x filter and a 500watt shot light. The DOF still isn't great at f22, and the IQ took quite a hit (the CA is due to the filter).

    I see.

I have an old Minolta 28-85 zoom that has a latch that allows it to go into macro range. It is my go to lens for one thing does it all. The macro on it is great.

    Looks like so -

Hmm.. I could use that lens, lol. Although my Zeiss 24-70 f2.8 is pretty versatile. It will focus really close too, so the Minolta wouldn't get a ton of use. What I really need is a good telephoto, and something really fast for astro timelapse.

I was on a business trip to Seattle last week and had a chance to do just a little bit of walking around.

Went to the Smith Tower to try for a Pano shot.

Took the Underground Seattle Tour. Recommended to anyone visiting. I didn't take any of the tour because there were just too many people in every shot.

Really wanted to shoot something today, but I didn't want to go anywhere. So I ended up with this, from my back yard.
