Some shots from a recent trip I took to Norway this past fall.
--Fun fact: The first shot is taken just outside of Finse, Norway. This is where the scenes for Hoth were filmed.--

Thanks! Another cool thing - the town along the fjord in the 3rd picture has no roads connecting to it. All through the fjords there are these small towns and even single houses on honestly 1-2 acres of grass nestled at the foot of these huge rock faces that can only be accessed by boat. Truly a different way of life. Norway is unbelievable.

Electricity? I wouldn't think so unless they have some kind of gas generators

I don't recall seeing any signs of electricity. The spartan lifestyle of many Norwegians outside of the major cities leads me to believe that if they are what I assume small fishing communities down in the fjords, electricity would be unnecessary to them for all intents and purposes. Have you ever gone to the Caribbean for a vacation? These houses below are built in the middle of nowhere for many Norwegians to "vacation" at, returning to a more primitive lifestyle for a week or weekend, as my friend's Norwegian girlfriend explained to me. No running water, electricity, gas, etc. Just protection from the elements. Any necessities must be obtained from the surrounding environment.

^^^That's awesome. So it's a true vacation from any and everything. Sounds pretty cool to me. They kind of explained "Vacation" homes like that in the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" books, as they took place in Sweden.

Zax Awesome pictures of UAE! I was actually just there over Christmas time. My parents live in Al-lin. Definitely one of the best trips of my life!

Wow that would be definitely one of the top ten places to propose! Congrats on the engagement! We went to the top of the Burj Khalifa at night and it was an amazing view! Here is a pic of me with the Burj in the background. (Of course I had to represent the best hockey team!)

Thanks! That's a great shot of the Burj... wish I'd brought a decent camera to Dubai. This shot was completely candid:

^^^^ Whenever you can, go. It's such a cool country, they call it the New Zealand of the northern hemisphere. One of my best friends from college has lived there for the last 4 years and I finally had the time and money to make a 2 1/2 week trip out and get to see the whole country. I'd love to go back some day, but there are just too many amazing places to go, not enough time. Some day though.
